If you are looking for Human Bara, I cannot recommend enough Liebling. It’s a Webtoon with a lot of emphasis on its lore and story (plus the sex scenes are really well-done and can get very steamy, even wholesome at times).

I agree with Wiegman, though EA was the first VN I fell in love with Far Beyond the World is an achingly romantic thrill ride with mysterious fantasy. Adastra might be too long to qualify and its art isn't up to EA standards, but it's also amazingly written and brought tears to my eyes multiple times. Do you know shirokoi BTW? He's still producing one game, But he hasn't updated Repeat since 2020, and that one had so much promise!

Im not sure if it is short, but far beyond the world would be my recommendation. I lovvvvvveeeeeee me a wolf with some muscle (spencer my fav xD ) . A mixture of fantasy, relationships, survival, with some daddy wolves that can cook ;).

Okay, back with some recommends, though not all VNs since I don’t play many. Grove is a pretty neat game with some great smut (in combat and scenes), even though mostly fetish stuff. Maybe Valentine’s Day isn’t the Worst is human based with some slight furry stuff, but the artist doesn’t a lot of furry stuff and it’s short and sweet; checks huge marks for having and older man who is a body builder and possibly verse (some Dozer vibes). Small on Top is a pretty nice game too I think if you like games with size difference and lot of hot bottoms (pun not intended)

It's definitely not short but theres a VN called Adastra that DEFINITELY worth the time. As far as short stories goes I've actually written one that involves an Orc and an Elf, that I called If Only. If you'd like I'd be more than happy to share it with you.

I don't know a lot of short visual novels, but ones that really interests me lately have been Limits and Distant Travels. On the longer side, Nerus is quite something in my opinion.

If you buy this game, be aware that the NSFW version was only sold to kickstarter backers and that any version you buy has no nudity or sex scenes (and no there is no way to get them)
