Delayed JAN 2025 Prompt: Monster in the Museum

"Hey Robert," Robbie looked up from the forms he had been signing to see one of the supervisors looking over at him. "We need you to go to the store rooms and clear out a shelf. The museum got some new donations and we need to clear up some space for them so we can properly process them."
"Oh, I mean, I still need to go over the-" Robbie began to explain, only to get cut off as the supervisor pulled the slim intern out of his seat."
"I know you just started, but we're short staff, and I needed this done yesterday," Jared said, not even waiting further before practically dragging Robbie out of the office and towards the store rooms in the back. "Just most the stuff on shelf E and then you can get back to that starter kit."
Robbie stumbled, trying to keep from tripping over his feet as he tried to argue with the erratic supervisor. Each attempt to dissuade Jared was bulldozed through with how the task needed done, the supervisor not mentioning who had to do it before, nor who would help before unceremoniously dumping Robbie in the store room.
"Now, get to work Robert, need this done in an hour."
"Wait but," Robbie tried to say anything, Only to cut off with Jared practically slamming the door shut, leaving Robbie alone in the dusty store room. The intern letting out a sigh in defeat, groaning a bit as he turned over to the shelving that took up the vast majority of the room. Taking steps in, Robbie looked over, coughing a bit as the musty dust that filled the air, looking over each shelf and hoping that he can get through this quickly. Maybe the shelf only has a few items and he can get back to work.
Finally coming up to shelf E, Robbie let out a curse under his breath when he saw what exactly he had to move. The majority of the shelf was littered with small shards and charms, all marked and tagged for future reference. The cardboard box with acid paper set aside at least showing him what his main role will be. The main issue he knew was going to be a problem was the immense wax-sealed vase that rested along side the pottery shards. Moving closer, Robbie couldn't help but wince as he noticed just how big the vase was, taller than one of his arms at full length. The ceramic vessel decorated with a variety of scenes, though faded with time and the more than healthy layer of dust coating it, had enough left to depict what looked like a giant monster of legend. Going around the shelf to try and piece what he could, Robbie found he couldn't place the creature of legend, nor the region the item was from, not helped with the lack of tags or item numbers available. Though, Robbie could hazard a guess from the almost water colour like strokes showing the monsters many arms, that maybe it could be from East-Asia? Maybe Japan if he had to narrow it down?
Either way, the questions on country of origin and the monster in question were put aside for now. Robbie first had to deal with how we was going to move this and to where.Looking over the room, Robbie scrunched his face as he looked over each available surface to see where he could move the vase to. He found the closest shelves from the vase were either all laden with relics already, or too narrow to put the vase on in the first place. Not looking forward to trying to move the cumbersome artefact further away from the starting shelf, Robbie looked around further, spotting a clear surface he could use. Beside the doors he came in from, Robbie spotted a bare desk taking up space in the corner. Checking it over and giving the dusty table a shake, making sure it won't collapse the second he'd place the vase on it, Robbie let out a sight.
'Guess it'll have to do.' Letting out a sigh, Robbie made his way back to the shelf the old vase resided on. Carefully clearing a path so he can go straight from the shelf to the table. After a double check, Robbie sighed before he squatted slightly and placed his hands on the vase base. Counting down, Robbie took a deep breath before standing back up, hefting the vase in his grip.
"Okay, not to heavy…" Robbie said to himself, adjusting his grip on the bulky ceramic before walking towards the table. With each step he took, the museum intern found himself unable to keep from worrying if he'd trip or not. The worst case playing on repeat in his head, despite Robbie's best efforts to try and push down the repetitive doubt. His eyes glancing down regularly to make sure he didn't trip on anything, almost causing the intern to miss the table. Letting a sigh of relief slip out his mouth, Robbie worked to gently lower the vase on the table.
"Hey Robert! You done here yet?"
It was then the store room door slammed open, bashing into the working intern and sending Robbie and the vase to the ground with a crash.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
"At least Jared got suspended too," Robbie sighed to himself. Rubbing his face after the ordeal. Robbie was also thankful he had just managed to keep the vase from shattering when Jared sent him and the historic item to the floor. Though the wax seal atop the vase had broken open in the fall, dusting the poor intern with a more than healthy layer of dust. Robbie was thankful management let him wash off the dust before he was asked to leave early for the day.
The now former intern groaned to himself as he unlocked his apartment door and walked in. Barely closing the door behind him before Robbie stripped down and went straight for the bathroom, opening the shower before breathing out a sigh as the water pounded him. The entire walk home, Robbie's clothing had been irritating against his skin as the fabric was still saturated with the aged dust that had coated him. Each step of his journey leaving the man uncomfortable, trying to subtly scratch himself even as all he wanted was to tear his clothing off and jump straight into a pond.
Eventually, Robbie stepped out from the shower with a relieved sigh. The warm water dripping off him had been just what he needed, helping soothe the almost burning itching he had just went through. Drying himself off, Robbie found himself slowing his usual movements when his hands rubbed over his stomach. Looking down, Robbie noticed the slight pudgy layer that filled his fingers.
"Ugh, I should probably cut back on the food." Robbie thought, though he kept his hands on the slight belly bump he had, giving it a shake before the still damp man returned to his drying ritual. Tucking the tower around his waist, Robbie went over to the sink, looking at his reflection in the mirror. Robbie planned out to comb his hair, knowing he had to try and prevent the usual cowlicks he'd be stuck with, unless Robbie finally bites the bullet and spring for hair gel. Instead, Robbie grabbed his comb before going through the usual motions of brushing his still damp hair. Making sure no curl was sticking out, Robbie slowed down when his eyes went over his chin. Placing the comb on the sink edge, Robbie brought his hands up to feel his face, wincing a bit when he felt the prickle of stubble under his fingers.
"Come on, I know I shaved this morning. God, hope no one at the museum noticed." Robbie shook his head, not worth the hassle to worry before he resumed his usual after shower rituals. He didn't want to even think about how he showed up to work with stubble, or the slight paunch he was sporting. All he wanted was to just get dressed, crawl into bed, and call it a day. Even if it was only 5 o'clock, Robbie just wanted this day to be over.
So once he finished drying up, Robbie headed back to his bedroom and got dressed. Trying to ignore how he noticed the way his boxers clung a bit more to his ass and thighs, or how his loose shirt and sweat pants were more fitted than usual, Robbie got dressed before slumping atop his bed. Burying his face in a pillow, the young man let out a muffled frustrated yell, taking a few seconds to let out it all out before turning over. Laying on his back, catching his breath as he stared up at ceiling of his room.
The double whammy of the early hour and his mind going over everything that happened today did little to let Robbie try and sleep. Robbie's plan to just lay there until he finally passed out was officially abandoned when his stomach let out a low gurgle.
"Come on? Seriously?" Robbie asked himself, earning another groan in response. Letting out a defeated sigh, Robbie groaned before working to sit up, getting off the bed before stumbling through his apartment. Making it to the kitchen, Robbie went straight for the fridge. "Just a quick bite, and then back to bed. A small snack and…"
Opening up the fridge, Robbie found himself face to face with the bare shelves. A bottle of water and a couple condiments staring back at the young man.
"… I was supposed to get groceries after work." Closing the door, Robbie let his forehead press against the cool metal. Taking a deep breath before letting it out slowly through his nose. Robbie briefly considered calling defeat and crawling back to bed in hunger, only for his gut to let out another deep growl in demand to eat.
"Fine! Take out tonight, then tomorrow I'll go by the market," Robbie justified to himself and his gurgling gut, turning his back to the fridge and heading to where he abandoned his phone. Picking it up, Robbie opened up his usual delivery app, not really paying attention to what was on offer as he went straight for the quick delivery options . Seeing a local pizza place with only a ten minute delivery time, Robbie worked to place his order. Though he just planned to grab a plain pizza and maybe a small soda, Robbie's hunger pangs made it clear that wasn't going to be an option. Groaning at the fresh hunger pangs that hit him, Robbie settled for the combo meal of a large meat lovers pizza, coming with two side dishes of chips and mozzarella sticks, and a 2 litre bottle of Coke. Punching in his details, Robbie sent out his order before his hunger-addled mind could add more. Hearing the ding that it was accepted, Robbie let out a groan when the app said it would be at least fifteen minutes before he'll get his meal.
"Okay, might as well play a game while I wait." Sitting down on the couch, Robbie closed the delivery app before searching for a no-brainer game. Though, Robbie couldn't focus on the connect item game he settled for. Instead, the young man kept finding his hands on his gurgling belly. His slow rubs doing little to quell the deep groans and gurgles his gut let out, though Robbie couldn't find it in himself to remove his hands. Even find himself giving the slightly pudgy belly a squeeze as the rubbing slowly lulled his thoughts. So lost in the act of rubbing and playing with his belly, Robbie didn't notice just how much time had passed until the harsh sound of his ringtone blared through his drifting mind.
Startled from the call, Robbie grabbed his mobile from where he abandoned the device, swiping the answer option.
"Hello?" Robbie asked, hoping his voice didn't crack even he could feel the warmth of a blush on his cheeks.
"Hey, your order from Pizza Dan's is here."
"Right right, yeah. I'll buzz you up. I'm in apartment 12. Just on the first floor." Robbie said, wincing at the way he rambled on. Getting off the sofa, Robbie went to his intercom, catching sight of the delivery guy at the door before buzzing open the gate. Getting to his apartment door, Robbie made sure to grab his wallet from his pants from where he abandoned them (he'll have to put them in the wash, but that's for later). Fishing out some cash, Robbie opened his door, waving his hand when he spotted the delivery guy. The smell of the greasy pizza and sides hitting Robbie, causing his stomach to let out a low groan the echoed in the hallway.
"Guess you're hungry big guy?" The delivery guy said, a chuckle as he handed over the food. Robbie barely mumbled out a thanks and handed over the tip before skulking back into his apartment. Robbie just caught the delivery guy saying thanks for the tenner before the apartment door closed shut.
'… Didn't I give him a five?' The question popped into his head, though the thought was abandoned as Robbie went back to the couch. Pulling out the food boxes from his seat, Robbie barely opened them before the hunger finally took over. Robbie began work tearing into the pizza, pulling the overloaded slices before biting down. The oozing cheese and cooked meat filling his mouth before Robbie swallowed down, barely giving a break before he stuffed the salted chips and breaded mozzarella into his mouth. Robbie setting into a habit of lifting pizza to his mouth with one hand as the other picked and stuffed himself with the sides, his brain drifting into the repetitive motion of alternating which hand fed himself.
It wasn't long before Robbie found himself out of food, the three food boxes empty and spread out across his coffee table. The bottle of soda he got brought to his grease coated lips before Robbie tilted his head back, draining the contents down in deep gulps. The low plastic caving in with the last drops chugged down. Letting the fall with a pop, Robbie leaned back before a deep guttural belch rumbled out of him.
"Oh… that was… good…" Robbie panted out, letting loose another low belch. Rubbing his hands down to his bloated stomach, Robbie let out a low moan and belch as he worked to relieve the pressure that replaced the hunger from before.
Robbie knew he'd have to clean up later. Especially since his feast saw to his tightened clothing to stain with grease and crumbs, not to mention the dust saturated clothing that still sat on the floor. The abandoned clothing reminding the stuffed man he wasn't sure if he still had an internship or not.
But for now, Robbie lazed back on the couch. Relishing the stuffed pressure in his belly. Drifting off, Robbie briefly wondered when his belly hair seemed so thick, before finally succumbing to his well deserved food coma.
He'll worry about it tomorrow.
----------------------------------------------------------
Robbie didn't worry about it tomorrow.
When the next day came, Robbie awoke to his phone buzzing with messages from the museum management. Instead of the expected termination of the internship, or even being told they were filing criminal damages, he was told he was given a full week's leave, along with an advanced pay for the hassle that happened. Initially confused, especially with how generous it all was, Robbie figured it had to have been a mix up with HR. Though a call from his supervisor confirmed it all.
Robbie was free from work for a whole. And got extra money in his account for it all.
"Well, can't hurt to relax then," Robbie figured as he got up from the couch. Letting out a yawn and stretching, Robbie hadn't noticed how his belly hung lower from his shirt, nor the way said shirt rode up against the expanded torso he had. Walking back over to the kitchen, Robbie's footfalls had a loud thump with each step he took. His bare feet having a heavy dusting of hair on top leading to his thickened legs stretching his sweatpants, the hems rising to show his swollen calves and ankles. Giving his belly a lazy scratch, the expanded man went over to the fridge, before pausing as he remembered last night.
"Right… no food." Heaving a sigh, Robbie shook his head. He really should get to the market and buy some groceries. Start restocking his kitchen, get back to making food for himself… but he did just get extra cash… and Robbie knows that diner a few blocks away has a killer breakfast meal they sell for take out.
"Just for this morning, I'll order some groceries too." With that rationalisation sorted, Robbie ordered his breakfast, making it a double size, before also ordering his groceries. Adding almost twice as much food as he usually got, Robbie didn't see how his hands were bigger than the night before. His fingers thickened out as his thumb covered more of the screen than usual, even his fingernails looked sharper. But Robbie wasn't seeing it, nor how his stubble had thickened over night. All he could really think about was eating.
And so, Robbie's week was spent eating as the gradual transformation took root and spreading out. Each day seeing him growing bigger and more beastly. His clothing tearing as it struggled against his swelling body, the furniture and structure of his apartment cracking against his expanding body with his couch and bed bending under his larger body. The door frames that separated rooms being dented and cracked when Robbie tried to squeeze through.
Robbie wasn't only growing bigger, but also more beastly. His hands and feet sporting more claw-like, making handling his phone harder and harder as the swelling behemoth struggled to keep ordering his regular feasts. His body hair thickening into fur, spreading over and coating his swelling body that left even the more dedicated gainers in the dust with his growth. His drooping belly covering his thick thighs, helping keep the effective shut in decent after his last pants tore trying to contain not only his redwood thick thighs and beanbag ass cheeks, but also the impressive tail that sprouted above his ass. The long limb taking a more gator appearance as it dragged behind the growing man. Robbie's stubble at grew into a proper beard that framed his jiggling chins, his mouth and nose stretching out into a more snout look with his teeth sharpening out into fangs. Two nubs began to form along his steadily transforming hair line, spreading out into proper horns one would see on a old goat rather than a person. The beastly Robbie filling out his doorway gave a few delivery boys some shock, though most thought it was a really good quality fur-suit, and those who were more brave to help feed the beast found it to be far far more real than they expected.
With Robbie's gradual transformation and growth. It wasn't long before the semi-spacious apartment grew too small for him.
The steadily shrinking home cracked and groaned with every move he swelling beast made, the furniture long since destroyed by his ever-expanding frame. One morning, Robbie looked down over his impressive boulder of a belly to find his feet had torn through the floorboards. He had officially outgrown the confines of his living space, his body now resembling more of the creature depicted on the vase than the intern he once was.
"I... I'm big." Robbie said aloud as the realisation hit him. His deep voice rumbling out as if from the earth itself. Bringing his clawed hands up to his face, Robbie let on hand grope his swollen moobs whilst the other ran over his face. The limb brushing the furry muzzle he now possessed as it went over. Robbie blinking as his thumb brushed one of his eyes, making him realise he actually had another set of eyes.
Robbie was a beast. A monster of legend. A giant.
"I want more..." Robbie said, a smile spreading on his face, exposing his fangs to the world. Accepting the form he had, the immense former intern let out a moan. A warmth spreading within him as each deep breath he took saw him swell more. Bigger. Bigger. His limbs pushing into the walls before crashing through, the screams of shock from his neighbours reaching Robbie. Yet the behemoth could only chuckle as he willed himself to grow.
The city block his apartment resided on getting attention as his neighbours ran out. Many thinking a gas leak when they heard them talking about a monster. Though the world learnt they weren't crazy as the building shook, threatening to collapse entirely, before one of the facade walls exploded outwards. Onlookers staring in shock, unable to believe what they saw as a wobbling, furry mass spilled out into the street.
"Hey there... little guys..." A deep booming voice forced attention off the spreading mass, looking up at the face of the beast that appeared. His four eyes shining with mirth as the behemoth took in the world from his new size.
It took a few tries with deep earth shaking grunts before the giant beast that was once Robbie managed to wiggle his way into a standing position from the wreckage of his old home. His wide ass scraping against the sides, his looming ail swinging back and forth. The wreckage of his and his neighbour's lives falling off his wobbling mass before he began to waddle down the cramped street. A smirk spreading on his face as he watched the crowds run away from him, Robbie unable to resist letting his swollen hip bump against a nearby office building. The stone and glass shattering against his tonnage without leaving a scratch on him.
'I can do anything,' Robbie thought, his clawed toes curling with excitement, digging into the concrete beneath him like it was sand for the giant. Taking a few more earth shaking steps, Robbie paused as his gut released a deep booming gurgle. The force strong enough to set off the alarms for the cars Robbie hadn't stepped on yet.
"Heh, guess this big gut needs a snack," Robbie teased himself, giving his dropping belly a proud slap. Glancing around, the impressive behemoth realised his favourite buffet was only a block away. Barely a waddle for him now.
"Can finally empty them out." He said, making his way towards his objective snack. Maybe if the cute cashier was there, Robbie will let the tiny guy rub his belly as the giant clears the restaurant of everything.
