It’s been a busy week, apologies for the lack of posts, I’m almost done with the rewards as there’s one left to sketch. But recently XP-Pen reached out to me to review their Artist 22 (2nd gen) and I drew this to test it out. A review should be up soon on my twitter about that.

Anyway! looking at the first sketch, it’s pretty funny how it looked less my style and no wonder I was unsatisfied for quite a while until I traced over it and made it simpler, exaggerated some parts until it looked nice. My initial idea with this piece was that it’d be a tiny fisher cat riding a big frog and fishing for koi fish in a pond. At some point, I couldn’t get anything right at all, the sky, the background, the fishes, and the colors that I was on the verge of having an art block so I reworked half the concept with a cat fishing for tiny stars and I had fun doing some lighting.

I gotta ask a friend about this in the morning because wow I’m sleep deprived but incase I can slightly change the tier rewards, not the price, I was thinking all patrons should just get to access full res versions of these while the 2nd and 3rd tiers can access the CSP files instead for next month and beyond. Let me know what you think about this and if it’s alright.
