Let's plan - Poll #2

Today I would like to interrupt my work on the game for a short moment and start another poll. This time it's about making very important improvements to the game that will affect gameplay in general. I will implement all of the following improvements, but I want you to decide on the priority and thus determine the order in which I will implement them.
1. Mechnanic to make money
As the game offers more and more features and possibilities of what you can do with money, it becomes more and more important to earn it. Therefore, I think it's time to improve the process of earning money, make it less grindy and more varied.
2. User Interface
Let's be honest: The user interface looks a bit "sterile" and simple. I haven't been able to invest much time in working on it so far, so many dialog boxes, buttons, etc. are still in the state they were when I started this project.
I will rework the buttons and graphics in the dialog and menu windows. I also want to add dialogs that ask you if you really want to quit the game or return to the main menu, for example. This could prevent you from accidentally ending the game and losing your progress.
3. Player movement
As reported by some of you and also experienced by myself, the player's movement is not perfect and could definitely be improved. There are situations where you fly into the air and some people have also reported getting stuck in or between objects.
I will improve/rework the player movement to allow for better, more stable and smoother movement. I also want to add sounds when you are walking, depending on the type of ground you are on, to increase POV immersion even further.
So now it's up to you. Vote and tell me which of the improvements you want the most and which I should implement first! I can't wait to see which option will be the winner!

I have to say that I really like this way of gathering information. It allows me to get to know you better, what you want and like.
From the results of the last survey, I can see that the majority of you don't use the Boombox at all. And those who do use it want it to be developed further. Therefore, I will extend it, but not with high priority and not with many new functions. I will add a dedicated volume control and a few more tracks in the future if I find the time between developing more important things. After that, the Boombox will be finished.
In the end, I have to say that the result is not what I expected. But I'm not sad that many people don't use a function that took me a lot of effort to implement. Instead, it is much more important to me that I can read and learn a lot from the results. Also by creating the Boombox I have gained technical knowledge that is not lost.
And in the end, it just proves that surveys like this are important so that I can properly estimate and organize my priorities!

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, there will be all the unlockable content with money that you mentioned. I'm already thinking a lot about how I'm going to integrate the outfit screen where you can unlock all that stuff later...

2025-01-28 07:57:15 +0000 UTCI feel like the earnings level is about right for the moment. It's not a tough grind and enough effort is needed to make the rewards worthwhile. I always love unlockable content and there's a lot of potential to expand the shop. You could add heaps of clothing options, accessories, hairstyles, make-up etc.
