Talking Critic - A Day at the Races and a Night at the Opera

After Jay is named the funniest man alive by Them Magazine, Duke challenges the Coming Attractions audience to a bet where he'll fork over $100 for every month his long-suffering employee doesn't make them laugh. Meanwhile, in a barely-related B story, Marty suffers from the Sherman curse of being bad at just about everything, and turns to the guitar to regain some much-needed self-esteem. All this, plus Steve Allen, the introduction of Zoltan, and the renowned judo expert, Satoshi. Listen now or we will EAT YOUR SOULS!

oh man, this whole time when Jay said "I've been practicing on my dog", I thought it was some sort of gross kissing, like french kissing but worse. I never GOT that Jay was literally kissing his dog.

The problem is that the suburbs were almost exclusively white until recently. That was actually sort of their point; look up redlining to know how banks basically caused racist housing policies. Anyways, that's just an explanation of how "white middle-class suburban" became a phrase, not a defense of it being said.

you know, it keeps coming up on TS and TC, you guys making assumptions about things being exclusive to middle class white kids. How about a lot of these things are just middle class suburban? Because my friends and I are all but 2, not white we are lower to upper middle class, from the suburbs and were into most of these things. I still love y'all but your assumptions are disruptive. briefly, but they are subtle reminders of our perspectives and differences. Our ideas and realities of who are the have and have nots and what people's interests are dispite skin color. but i passive aggressively love y'all. kisses. mwah!
