Talking Simpsons - Dan Greaney Interview

Dan joined the show in season seven and is still part of the staff into season 30! He's got tons of war stories, not just from coming up with memorable moments like embiggening small men and "Everything's coming up Milhouse," but much more, including interesting episodes he pitched, coming up with Bart's saddest future, and recording with Snoop Dogg on of so much more!

Great interview! As I said on Twitter, Henry and Bob's interview styles are super natural, and allow the interview to flow quite well and naturally. I liked Dan. He seemed game, enthusiastic, and I commend him for addressing some of the more controversial points of the Simpsons' history. While I do not necessarily agree with what he said about including Snoop Dog in the series (the argument seemed like it was pushing responsibilities around) and the somewhat false equivalency of having a POC guest star is doing something "good enough" for POC, I afford some space for his limited view as an older white cis male. I don't know that there can be much shifting in the frame for the older writers other than recognizing it was an oversight and that they'll try to do better in the future.
