Despite its troubled co-creator and nightmarish production problems, Ren and Stimpy thrived for five solid years as a shining example of what an artist-driven cartoon could be. And for our podcast exploration of the series, we chose the best possible episode, Stimpy's Invention, and the best possible guest: Thad Komorowski, author of the must-read oral history about the show. I enjoyed the stuff that John K made as a kid, and it still has some nostalgia value for me, but I'm glad that he isn't really active in the industry any more.

I referenced one of Bob's Stimpy scenes from Big House Blues for one of my shots on BW and still couldn't nail down the impeccable timing in his animation.
