If you haven't already seen it, the Lynchian 1990 short "A Hen, His Wife" by Igor Kovalyov shows where this art style really shines. He was a character designer for Rugrats and Aaahh!!! Real Monsters

Bob & Henry, thank you so much for reviewing this episode. As a young Jewish kid, this episode meant the world to me. Today I am more culturally Jewish than practicing, but I find that this episode just as impactful today and watch it as a yearly holiday tradition. For the record, the prayer said by Boris was pronounced well and is the correct prayer to say when lighting the Hanukkah candles. I'd also like to add that the use of the word "Menorah" is incorrect when referring to the candelabra that is lit while celebrating Hanukkah. During Hanukkah we light a "Hanukiah" which has 9 candle holders (one for the "shamash" or leading candle that is used to light the other eight) - a menorah only has 8 candle holders and is more of a symbolic object. Thanks again and keep up the great work!

Growing up in a multicultural city meant learning a lot about Hannukah in grade school and doing Hannukah-related activities, so it always blows my mind when I meet people who never learned about it in school or still don't know the basics behind the holiday. Once I was walking with my roommate and pointed out a menorah in someone's window, and he didn't know the term "menorah" and wondered how I knew it (he grew up in a smaller Christian town). If kids have to do Christmasy things in school, they should have to learn about other winter holidays too!
