What A Cartoon! - The January 2019 Schedule

2018 was the best year ever for the Talking Simpsons Network, and we were so happy to make so many amazing podcasts with your support on Patreon! And we want to make 2019 even better, so we're starting things off strong with an eclectic month of What A Cartoon! podcasts coming your way! We have a pair of recent-ish Cartoon Network hits, a pretty soldier of the moon, and a spy spoof for fans of phrasing!

It's time for one of Henry and Bob's favorite topics: A love of anime that mixes with slacker comedy into a hilarious all-ages cartoon! We approach Regular Show for the first time on the podcast, and we're starting with the double-length episode that's a tribute to all the amazing mecha anime of our childhoods, along with the crummy toys of our youths as well. Batman: Brave And The Bold - "Rise of the Blue Beetle!" [Patreon Date: 1/14/19 - Free Feed Date 1/21/19]

We've already done Batman: The Animated Series, but there are many more cartoons featuring the Dark Knight. That includes the 2008-premiering tribute to Batman's Silver Age hi-jinks with some tongue-in-cheek humor about DC's long comic history! We'll be chatting about the entire series, while also focusing on the first episode which introduced us all to Diedrich Bader's unique take on Bruce Wayne. Sailor Moon R - "The Return of Sailor Moon" [Patreon Date: 1/21/19 - Free Feed Date 1/28/19]

This month's anime episode is a special one, as we cover one of the most internationally famous series to come from Japan. She is the one named Sailor Moon, and we'll be digging into the show's huge impact on animation, as well as chatting about the debut of the second season, aka Sailor Moon R. Get ready to transform along with us, and you can find the show on Hulu in the US right now (both subbed and dubbed)!

Archer - "Skytanic" [Patreon Date: 1/28/19 - Free Feed Date 2/4/19]

We're closing on January with another H. Jon Benjamin-led animated series, and it's definitely the filthiest one we've done. We'll be digging into the FX (or is it FXX now?) original that stars the super spy Archer, the bad boy of espionage who is gradually losing his hearing, has been shot dozens of times, and hangs out with people even more insane than he is. And we'll be covering the Archer season one classic which sees them riding a helium-filled dirigible! You can find all of Archer on Hulu as well!
