Lmfao never thought of that before

WHY ARE THE LOVE WILL KEEP US TOGETHER VIOLIN BEARS IN DIAPERS!?

Also the scene of Homer getting beaten up during the U2 concert might be one of my top 10 Simpsons moments

Having recently visited the UK the food there is actually quite good! Great cheese, great meat pies, and even stuff like eels and haggis are good. And man, Glasgow is the best place on earth for deep fried stuff, like mars bars, pizza, and haggis. You just can’t go wrong.

I have no idea why, but the boogying pumpkin toy is one of those Simpsons moments that made my sisters and I laugh HYSTERICALLY the first time we saw it.

OH MY USED-UP PORNO - i always thought the line in The Garbage Man can song was "The garbage man can and he does it with a smile and never touches you" not judges you! (which admittedly makes way more sense)---- whoa, once again Talking Simpsons open up my eyes to something i never knew/heard properly before. ALSO "Close but you're way off" is low-key one of the greatest Homer lines ever.

There can't be a band that huge again because we as a culture have splintered in terms of interests (certainly music). We've been on course for this since the '60s, what we call the post-modern era, diversifying from that point. The internet absolutely sped up the process. Now people can get into very specific artists and genres, quite a bit of it released via Bandcamp and the like.

Homer getting beat up while "Pride" plays is one of the biggest laughs this show's given me.

I really liked your exploration of it, though! I'm looking forward to you getting to some Really bad episodes, too - there are some real F-Grade stinkers in seasons 10, 11, and 12

To me, this is the first episode I really disliked when watching it weekly. Crummy guests, a slight plot, and a beyond-obnoxious Homer just left a bad taste in my mouth.

Normally something like "moving the whole town 5 miles down the road" would make this a "jump the shark" episode, but the jokes are so consistently strong I can't help but like this one. It's easily in my top five episodes of Season 9. I think Henry mentioned that Lisa had a weird look on her face when Homer asked if he's wearing pants, it's because she's still playing music in her head from earlier. It's one of my favorite Lisa moments that should feel familiar to anyone who's had to listen to a politics discussion at Thanksgiving.

Great episode as always, as a new Patreon is there a way to browse specific series instead of just scrolling through the post dates?

Another great episode! As a native Irish I always enjoy the odd reference to Ireland in any context haha! I always thought the Simpson's had a little soft spot considering how much.they visit Ireland and make reference to it, but maybe I just want to see that! The use of "wanker" is so distinctly British that this absolutely wasn't censored for the Irish but I can understand why it would of been in Britain. Really enjoyed this episode, thanks guys! Definitely made the work day go by a little faster

Was anyone else bugged like I was with the bathroom window being spawned over the front door when Homer dumps the trash on Ned? Over the years, I've stopped caring as much with the house's layout being tweaked or ignored for the sake of a gag, but this one always felt too egregious. I know it was to convey the joke as clearly as possible but apparently the bathroom window is the one directly to the right of the 'fake' one (except for when it's Maggie's room). If they had Homer toss the trash from the right-most window, it could have been even crueler since he'd have to basically aim trash at Ned. Yes, I know I'm overthinking this.
