Didn't see anything about this in the comments so I have to scold Mr Continuity Henry Gilbert for saying we haven't seen the legitimate businessman social club since Bart the Murderer. We saw it in Homie The Clown! I hope someone got fired for that blunder!

We started the Patreon during our coverage of season five of the Simpsons, so episodes previous to that date can only be found on the Libsyn. But everything we've made since then (June of 2017) should be available to our patrons. I would recommend you unsubscribe/resubscribe to your private RSS feed, or use a different podcast app (I use Downcast).

Question for you cats—absolutely love what you're all up to, and listen and re-listen constantly. However, can you give listeners the full reason why subscribers can only listen/download episodes from the last two years (give or take)? It's a bit of a bummer to have to dive into the old school goods using Libsyn etc, and—at a certain point, if things continue—listeners will only be able to listen to Season 8-10 podcasts etc. Thanks!

FWIW, the Costner carrying Houston is in the music video, which is the only parts of the movie I've seen, so that bit is recognizable to me.

I still to this day keep my comics in perfect order. But I separate stuff I want to keep forever, and stuff that if the chance to sell comes up with. I would be upset if an KSD Captain Marvel ended up in the Stohl run though. Don't ask how organized my BRDs and video games are organized, because its very well and very specific.

I know it was probably just a brain fart on Henry’s part when he mentioned Anthem films as a successor to the Roger Corman films when I believe he meant Asylum films who are responsible for classics such as Sharknado and Mega Shark versus Giant Octopus. Fun fact that ties into the Titanic parody in this episode is that Asylum made the film ‘Titanic 2’ in 2010 about a replica of the original setting sail 100 years later to predictable results.

DMX has religious components to his albums. There's always one track that is a prayer(Henry will remember one as the song that played during Cena's Video package before his Match with The Miz at Wrestlemania 27). He does gospel songs sometimes too. You know to balance out "What these bitches want?"

This episode's very vague parody of the Bodyguard has always seemed weird to me since no one cares about/remembers anything from the movie besides Whitney's cover of the song, and this is SIX YEARS LATER. I'm glad that they don't bother spending much time actually parodying the movie, since the content of the episode itself is pretty good (weird eye skin & cruel Homer aside), but I still have to wonder WHY they choose to still frame it as a parody of it. -- Also I recently watched STEPHEN KING'S THINNER again (I had only ever watched it on TV once years ago), and going to this episode shortly after reminded me how Joe Mantegna in that movie is pretty much just Fat Tony but a) more competent and b) not fat.

I am surprised this didn't come up, but then if you're already trying to forget about the name Jeff Albertson... like don't get me wrong, I'm fine with Comic Book Guy finding love and everything, but he's just so deeply unlikable! The writers for that episode just kinda threw them together and called it good in favor of getting Homer in a Miyazaki homage!

If you think Comic Book Guy's bizarre sexual adventures with women are bad now, wait till "Married to the Blob." In that episode, the writers gave him this perfect nerd fantasy of a Japanese mangaka (voiced by Tress) that loves how boisterous and rude he is. Within the same episode she becomes his wife and reoccurring character in the show. That episode is more known for having a really long Miyazaki animated segment but it is absolute trash. (Though you guys will get to that in what...7 years?)
