The related discussion of replacing voice actors in this gives me a great excuse to talk about the very personal time I experienced the voice actors of the Pokemon anime getting recast. In 2005, 4Kids Entertainment has the license for Pokemon revoked back to The Pokemon Company. In 2006, we learned this also means the dubbing crew and especially the voice cast was to be replaced for season 9 onwards. In part, this was Pokemon Company cutting costs with cheaper actors to try and get the same quality for less. The new cast was tested out in the TV special Mastermind of Mirage Pokemon, and they are terrible sounding. The whole time, fans kicked off a "Save Our Voice Actors" campaign, to no avail by September when the new season premiered on Cartoon Network. Now, the later cast has been with the series longer than the beloved 4Kids actors like Veronica Taylor, Eric Stuart, Rachel Lillis, et al. To be fair to the new cast, they've come a long way since that uncomfortable transitional moment in Pokemon anime history.

Season 10, more than any other season, really feels like "The Homer Show." He's the star of almost every single episode. Bart and Lisa both got a couple, and Marge got one. Homer's great and all, but dangit, Marge is funny too!
