Talking Futurama - Why Must I Be a Crustacean in Love?

It's time to look at one of the horniest episodes of Futurama yet, and one about the last Futurama character you'd ever want to see horny! On this latest Planet Express adventure, we head to Zoidberg's home world so the good doctor can mate and deposit his incredible load of male jelly. But when Fry gets unwittingly involved in a disgusting mud bug love triangle, he finds himself in a battle to the death that's really only a recent tradition—but a tradition nonetheless. Lay back, grab a self-microwaving Bavarian cream dog and a self-pouring beer, and get ready to enjoy this week's podcast!
I distinctly remember seeing the preview for Put Your Head On My Shoulder immediately following the original airing of this (I know you guys go by production order and not airing) and thinking "oh wow, they actually had that ending decapitation gag carry into the next episode"; shouldn't have been surprised that it didn't but at this point in time the show was really starting to figure things out so it didn't seem like too much of a reach for them to do that.

The animation and voice acting for Zoidberg this episode are PHENOMENAL. I love how well they find his character in this and how many ridiculous jokes they get out of him - including the bit you guys mentioned where he very clinically and precisely describes sex and then follows it up with "if you know what I mean." I also love the absurdity of the women giving birth gag, because how in the hell did Zoidberg get into that pool without anyone noticing him?

I'm also glad you guys talked about how this episode has some very dated gender politics, especially coming out of Fry. One of the things I noted when watching the episode was that it does a great job of making Zoidberg out as a sadsack, but the way it's done results in the women being very shitty in a non-realistic, sexist way.
