Oh dear, I didn't think you were going to read my story about going to see Pokemon the Movie in theaters. And yes, like any Anime club there was drama, but probably moreso due to external factors that weren't club politics. It got pretty snagged up in '99. Our club lasted from '95-'02 so that's something.

Funny you mention that because I also was surprised when Henry said Raven was voiced by Grey DeLisle but then I thought “Those two actresses can sound similar sometimes. Was I wrong this whole time thinking it was Tara?” It was like a bearstein bears moment in my head!

Thanksgiving of Horror was indeed great, and it makes the likelihood of a Holiday of Horror segment to come for other holidays like Christmas, Valentine's Day, etc. I definitely did not heed Marge's advice though as I was watching it with a 3 and 4 year old. They were invested in watching their tablets, as they do from 8-8:30, but of course looked up just in time to see Maude's head explode. Surprisingly though, they didn't care. My son just sort of deadpanned "She died."

I too watched Thanksgiving of horror. The sound wasn't on but I think I got the gist of it. I also wasn't expecting you to read my entire tl;dr spiel. I try to keep thought processes to paragraph form.

Oh, and I think a lot WOULD give a fuck about Felix the Cat if the original silent cartoons by Otto Messmer were available properly. Collectively, it's the most historically interesting pre-30s series, and the one that had the most influence. But a whole podcast series could be devoted to how greed and fannish business mishandling/ignorance has destroyed that film legacy.
