The Cat and The Terrible Thunderlizards, creator of The Shnookums and Meat Funny Cartoon Show and Mad Jack The Pirate, AND he was one of the first animators on The Simpsons way back in 1987! We chatted with Bill recently about his career, covering a lot of the early days of The Simpsons shorts, some of our favorite Eek! memories, his creation of the Press Your Luck Whammies, and so much more. Great interview! It's always been fascinating to me how big the Fox Kids network was in the 90s and yet how most of the shows not attached to a huge studio (WB, Marvel) have basically vanished. Eek the Cat was popular enough for Fox at the time the time that his Christmas special got the prime time treatment. All of the cartoons in that show's orbit along with Bobby's World and Life with Louie, among others, are just kind of gone now. I guess on the plus side, since no one is actively trying to profit off of them they're really easy to find for free online.
