Talking Futurama - The Honking

This week, we're covering the rare Halloween episode of Futurama—just in time for five days after Halloween! (In the year, 2000 anyway) Yes, it's the premiere of broadcast season three, which spins a wild tale of were-car horror almost as terrifying as how Fox would treat Futurama over the next few years. Listen in and learn how to properly bury your robots, the distinct noise of the golden marmoset, and the shocking origins of David Duchovny. Now sit back and get ready for some mumbo, and perhaps some jumbo!

On a binge of the Futurama podcasts...I often tell people ...I've had too much caffine or too little caffine, I forget how it works with me... I had forgotten where I got it from. I was sure it was Futurama, but wasn't sure what episode though. I always found that line funny on this episode.

Regarding the black-bordered envelope to communicate death in the family - this is something that was done in the Victorian era but also has continued into the modern period in some places. I remember seeing one as a kid in the early 1990s in the Czech Republic.

I remember Titus being a lot better than Henry & Bob are giving it credit for but its ads and promotion were terrible. Probably even odds that its just nostalgia and not having taste as a child anyways. Then again so much of late 90s - pre 9/11 TV is unwatchable now I also remember the last aired episode (which was supposed to be earlier, since it doesn't make sense after the actual last episode where he has a mental breakdown after his mom commits suicide because he is worried he is going down that mental illness path ) was a very special episode with a molestation last-act twist. So that probably hasn't aged well...
