And in a move fitting for What A Cartoon, we'll be digging into the episode that expertly parodies the 1977 Rankin-Bass adaptation of The Hobbit. It doesn't matter if you're a fan of Tolkein or dusty old animated movies; you'll at least enjoy the swift and brutal slapstick and colorful characters screaming at each other. (Or at least us talking about it.)

Talking Futurama - "Godfellas" [Patreon: 8/8/22]

As production season three of Futurama comes to a close, the show brings us an episode that could have won an Emmy if the previous one didn't. After being jettisoned off into space, Bender finds a colony of little people on his body, and soon becomes their god. But just like in that twilighty show about that zone, he soon learns that playing god usually ends in tragedy. Listen in and get ready for the surprise ending, where we confirm whether or not God actually exists!

TalKing of the Hill - "Junkie Business" [Patreon: 8/15/22]

So it's come to this: a shockingly Libertarian and wrong-headed episode of King of the Hill. When Hank is tasked with finding a new employee for Strickland Propane, he unwittingly hires a drug addict he can't fire thanks to The Americans with Disabilities Act. It's a classic tale of government regulations tampering with the profits of a small business, and we can't wait to complain about it! But we promise to still be funny.

An Extended Free Preview of What A Cartoon Movie for The Rescuers Down Under [Patreon: 8/29/22 - Free Feed: 9/5/22]

Our second Disney Renaissance summer comes to a close with a look at a feature that snuck in between The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast, but didn't receive one percent of the acclaim. Yes, thanks to America's fascination with Australia at the time, 1990 brought us a sequel to 1977's The Rescuers—and one that brings us down under. Get ready to close out the month with a massive podcast that's more satisfying than Vegemite on toast!
