What A Cartoon! - The November 2022 Schedule

Time to grab the pumpkin you didn't turn into a jack-o'-lantern because it's now turkey season for everyone at Talking Simpsons Network. We've got some great stuff planned as the year winds down, including the first time we've covered a Dinsey Channel original series, plus the fertile season 4 premiere of Futurama and the explosive season 2 cliffhanger of King of the Hill! And if you miss October's scares, don't worry as we have a scary film covering a modern stop-motion classic. PLUS, this month is when we resume our Blabbin' Bout Batman: The Animated Series podcast miniseries on November 11!

How did this concept of an action-packed high school comedy become one of the standouts of cable toons with a theme song still ringing in your ears to this day? We'll explain how it's so not the drama to all of you!

Talking Futurama - "Kif Gets Knocked Up A Notch" [Patreon: 11/14/22]

As we begin the final production season of Futurama at Fox Broadcasting, things are starting off weird and sticky for Amy and Kif. We learn what a "Smizmar" is, how Kif's people mate, the importance of party board safety, and we dig into the MANY holodeck episodes of Star Trek. All that plus gratuitous Zapp Brannigan nudity!

TalKing of the Hill - "Propane Boom" [Patreon: 11/21/22]

Things go pretty big for the normally grounded show for its season finale, but this is the cliffhanger all the Mega Lo Mart foreshadowing has been leading to. Just like every other small-town business, Hank's propane job is destroyed by big box retail, leading him to swallow his pride to feed the beast that killed him. Learn how unskilled, underpaid workers can lead to disaster in this exciting part one!

An Extended Free Preview of ParaNorman [Patreon: 11/28/22 - Free Feed: 12/5/22]

We've covered a few stop-motion animated films before, but shockingly we've yet to cover one by the current leader in the style, Laika. That ends with this spooky adventure in a small Massachusetts town featuring a bunch of people the world often overlooks. How does this involve talking to ghosts, a witch hunt, zombies, and acceptance? Learn with us as we dig deep into the history of this 2012 film.
