As probably the most experienced high heels-wearer subscribed to your Patreon, I'd like to offer my expertise: it's a skill you develop surprisingly quickly. Or it is if you're like five feet seven inches tall and weigh like 120 pounds like I do.

A little late, but I’m betting I was the only person coincidentally wearing a Mary Kay Place t-shirt listening to this! Im not kidding. Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman is highly recommended. I think it would make a great future April What a Cartoon live action pick. Place also made two great albums in the ‘70s with a who’s-who of the cool country crowd: Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, Willie Nelson, and to quote South Park, that bitch Anne Murray too. I love how you treat Peggy with respect. Keep up the good work

Yep, we pointed this out in the description/recording of Pregnant Paws (the episode that follows Peggy's Headache)

quick Harrison-style update that it's been done, listen here -- https://www.patreon.com/posts/what-cartoon-of-17504864 They appropriately opted to not re-cover the episode; if you use Patreon's search post feature you'll find the rationale

Hey talking crew I noticed something a bit od. you guys skipped episode 3 of season 3 Peggy's headache. I'm looking at hulu And I know that sometimes hulu doesn't have things correct, But watching the episode. Luanne's hair is growing back so this episode does take place after the megalo mart explosion, right? so technically it's in the right order? Are you guys planning on going through the episode anytime soon because it's hilarious 😂

I have a friend whose Twitter bio is "An LA 4 but a Portland 10".

After listening, I briefly entertained the Peggy-like thought of entering a Mrs. pageant and cashing in (I’m married, thin, and tap dance — what else is there to it?) but then I remembered I lived in Los Angeles, where all the actual hot people live.

Ah-ah-ah! Just looked into it. Yes, you are correct and I misspoke. Yesoon did just the ink-and-paint on R&S, Toon-Us-did the animation in LA. My confusion was because I hadn't memorized the I&P work the way I had the animation studios, so I combined them into one while listening to the show. The quality of those episodes was pretty good - though what do I know, I remember Mike Kim complaining to me that he wasn't "good" enough for Rough Draft (only his first cartoon went there). I'm also in agreement with you that the animation in KotH is pretty understated and well-done; I don't think it "evolved" (or "devolved"?) the way the Simpsons did, but when the quality is always consistently good, who cares? (I am noticing, on my watchthru with my fiancee, that it does lose a certain charm when it switches to digital.)

The name Helen Pell also sounds like Peggy Hill backwards, perhaps indicating that Helen is the opposite of Peggy.

I trust your authority but based on my research it seems like Yeson (the studio in question) did some work FOR Toon-Us-In, but they're separate studios.

Bob Mackey

Yep, the news story was about the Paula Jones settlement

Bob Mackey

I think maybe you were talking about Paula Jones and I got confused. My bad.

Jack Szkutnik

Did we say that? Because that's not something I would say.

Bob Mackey

Monica Lewinsky didn’t support trump and wasn’t one of the accusers Trump brought to the debate.

The studio you mentioned was formerly Toon-Us-In and based in LA's Chinatown(?) as I recall. A director who visited called it a "sweatshop". Not sure who'd consider Peggy a weak link... As my fiancee and I have noted on our watchthru, her misplaced vanity is exactly WHY she's an interesting character with depth... much more so than Marge Simpson, whose non-personality has been morphed into a soft liberal sounding board. And Bill's "Taking Care of Business" is definitely a highlight of the entire series.

Peggy's comment about Cagney and Lacey having aged terribly could be referring to the TV movies from the mid '90s. Lots of '60s and '70s shows had revival TV movies and some even got entire revival seasons in the late '80s and '90s.

Great episode! The comments about kids whose parents share all their photos online reminded me that the kid from the Bad Luck Brian meme recently starred in a car insurance commercial for The General, so it least he got something out of the internet saying he looks like a dork for all those years. https://youtu.be/FgOrfg5IwaY
