When Hank is forced to attend a live show featuring stage-based sorcery, his logic-based brain blows a fuse when he can't figure out the secret behind an act of illusion starring Peggy. And when she refuses to tell, the entire Hill house becomes a seething cauldron of anger and resentment. Is there any way to solve this dilemma without participating in playful, mutual spousal abuse? I had to go to CCD when I was a kid too. It was on a week day afternoon though and just at a neighbor's house. They were volunteers and would just instruct 4 or 5 of us kids in the ways of the lord or whatever. I didn't mind it, I liked my neighbor and was friends with his daughter and the other kids so it wasn't bad. Then at some point it moves from that environment to the church itself, and since it was on Sunday nights and would interfere with my Simpsons/King the Hill/X-Files viewing it was a non-starter for me. In a way, the Fox Sunday night lineup is responsible for me no longer having a religion.

2024-01-24 01:22:05 +0000 UTCOh man, I was also raised Catholic and had to attend CCD. The worst part was that those classes were held on Saturday at my church. So with that and being dragged to church on Sundays, my weekend mornings were ruined. Thankfully I was allowed to drop out after my first communion and did have to go all the way to confirmation.
