A miniatures museum, where the arrival of drunken college students takes them by surprise. Hank's only choice is to escape with this collection of senior citizens before being exposed to too much late '90s debauchery. Will he make it back to Arlen before murdering a man in an armadillo costume? Find out on this month's TalKing of the Hill!

2024-04-06 08:18:22 +0000 UTCOh man I really needed this deep dive. I’ve always had a conflicting relationship with this episode and this helped me remember how great it is. I had a minor surgery in 2005 and was recouping at my mom’s house afterwards. I couldn’t really move just had the local Fox afternoon lineup on the tv. My stepdad (who is genuinely a great guy but I always felt awkward around) happened to come in and sit down right as this episode aired. I was worried he’d hate it and judge me the whole time. When it was over he said, “You know, I’m really glad I saw that…now I never have to see it again.” And that cut deeper than the surgeon’s scalpel.

I actually met someone that went on it at a party once, an opera student, they were the selecter, and were about as positive about their experience on it as one could be about a TV dating show. Sadly this was a few years ago and I can't really remember any gorey details.

2024-03-20 17:28:49 +0000 UTCMy grandma had some Hummels and was convinced they were valuable (they weren't). I actually don't know who has them now. I live in my grandparents' old house and my grandfather loved woodworking so I have tons of stuff he made all over the place. I made it a point to hang onto something of my grandmother's and her other collection of choice were bone china tea cups and saucers. I'm guessing only some of them are authentic, but my grandfather built this somewhat elaborate shelf for them above a cabinet in the kitchen that's up against the ceiling. It's the same as when she passed away, only I also needed a place for my Lego Looney Tunes figures so they're chilling up there with the cups which she would think is ridiculous, but wouldn't have the heart to tell me if she were still around. I miss my grandma. Fishing tackle boxes are also very useful places to store action figure accessories. So many figures come with extra hands and heads and other stuff and finding a place for them can be a bother. I actually need to get some more as my current ones have been full for a while. Or I could buy fewer toys...

Hank is a nerd, and he loves his mom. Shoulda saved this for May lol

2024-03-19 02:24:41 +0000 UTCI always thought at the end of the episode after they experience severe tire damage, when Hank looks up at the helicopter and says "it's him", that's supposed to be Adam Sandler showing up as Pauly Shore talked about earlier in the episode. I don't think the MTV hosts got into a helicopter to chase Hank down. On the other hand, I'm wrong very frequently.
