I worked on Alita and can confirm, it was by & large a Cameron film; Rodriguez was more of a puppet than anything else. Keep an eye out when watching his next feature though- Hypnotic, in which they 'go to mexico' and mexico is just the unaltered slum set from Alita on the Troublemaker backlot.. not sure why they didn't just go to actual Mexico, surely that would've been less expensive lol OOH and, Drunken Master II (just as awesome as the 1st) has Ho Sung Pak in it as the villain- more famously known as the original Liu Kang.

2024-04-11 01:12:59 +0000 UTCThere's no wrong way to read Disc world books. I prefer the Death and the Night Watch ones, but the ones I'd recommend (other than Thud, which Henry mentioned) are Hogfather, Going Postal, and The Truth.

2024-03-31 00:46:15 +0000 UTCOh boy. Dune Messiah really hammers in why it's not a "white savior" narrative. I can't wait to see how that will be adapted. Most people consider it to be the weakest of the original books. That can be chalked up to the fact that it's a story between stories. Denis Villeneuve might be the only person who can pull off an adaptation. And when it comes to Discworld, I did what Henry did and started with the Watch series.
