Yep I've put nearly every free moment into the new software this month but it's still only about 70% there. Lots of individual parts done but putting them together is a challenge. The results are looking like they'll be amazing. The main issue with my current process is it takes too long, and the initial story idea loses its direction along with the inspiration. It's also stuck in one style which gets a bit boring when repeated everywhere, whereas the new software will allow me to do almost any style I want by having a whole quick reference library built in.

Heya yep the plan is to continue it. I'm just really pushing to get my new art software done because it could probably finish this kind of comic in a day when I'm still inspired by the original idea, versus the weeks of fiddling with different programs that my current process requires. Essentially right now I use about 10 different slow programs for each stage of the art (some 3D for reference, some scripts for smoothing out lines, some old paint software for colouring, illustrator for adding text bubbles, some scripts for clipping the image to the right page size, some java code to fill in the character hair colours etc based on my placeholder colours until I've decided on how the characters should look, etc). All of this takes a while to start up each program and switch between, crashes a lot, has small art issue which crop up and make it hard to go back to an earlier stage and fix, etc. The new program should be able to do all of this in one and be really fast about it, and allow for waaay better quality artwork (and animation), with all the tools for speech bubbles etc built it. It's complex and taking much longer than I first expected, but it does look like it's going to work really well.

Does anyone know if hes going to continue this?
