The Wayhaven Chronicles—Update+ 16/April/2021

Up and down week this week!

It started great, but then mid-week I ended up feeling really under the weather. I've kept going so as I can still write, but I didn't have the energy for much else, so apologies for the lack of asks, as well as replying to comments on Patreon (glad you all enjoyed  F's Spring Special though, hehe!). Will try and get back on top of those next week if I'm feeling better.

But even with that, I finished the 2 final love interest POV scenes and the friend scene, and then got a start on MC's POV love interest scene for N. There's a lot of variation in it, especially to take into account what happened at the facility in the previous scene, but I finished it...until I decided to add this whole huge section onto the end, hehe! :D

But it just led so amazingly well into a bit of backstory and N opening up, finally! I couldn't help myself! It wasn't planned, but it's perfect. And I managed to finish it even with that big chunk added on!

I'm interested to see what people think of this moment, and how N is when they are finally starting to open up...

Earlier in the week on a night, while I was still at full energy, I also managed to crack on some more with The Curse of Creek Edge! I actually finished one of the love interest sprites! Yay!

It's nice to see more characters in the world of Wayhaven come to life! :D

I'm working on Pyrus, but haven't had enough energy after writing to get too much further with him yet, but I definitely will when I'm back on form.

A big boost this week was that some of the merchandise samples arrived!! And we're so amazed!! 

I wanted to make sure and get it in to ensure the quality, but I've put clothing through the wash, mugs through hot water and soap, and tested stickers, etc. I'm seriously pleased how they've all stayed nice and fresh!

So I've progressed really well even with being getting caught out by health! But I'm hoping the weekend will help me get over that.

For Update+ this week, I thought I'd share a snippet of things getting tense in the love triangle...

$!{felix} flicks up a hand with an uncharacteristic frown setting across ${f_his} features. "Don't bother. $!{nate} might be using every bit of ${n_his} willpower to ignore it, but there's no way I haven't seen what's going on between you and $!{name}."

$!{adam} breathes out a hollow laugh. "You are always perceptive—"

"No, ${adam}. I just have eyes," ${felix} snaps, sending an unease bristling through ${adam}. $!{a_she} rarely hears such a sharp tone from the young vampire.
