The Wayhaven Chronicles—Update+ 22/Oct/2021

Oh, I do love Autumn! It really does get all my inspiration going!

The scene I was working on this week has let me bring in a host of side characters, and I've been really enjoying having them respond to the MC in different ways depending on the MC's personality.

Like Eric, Verda's husband, will calm down well to a friendly/genuine MC, but Dr. Turner does much better talking to a more direct/straight-talking MC! I was going to have the Bobby moment in this part too, but I've switched that with Douglas for this version as it suits much better. 

So I have seriously blasted through this week! It's been great fun :D Though that does mean Chapter 8 editing feel to the wayside once again...

But I have been keeping up with Chapter 7 edits from SpunkyCat, who has been giving the most amazing comments and getting me pumped even more!

I will definitely be getting this first version of Chapter 9 finished by tomorrow, which means I can move onto the other version next week! It feels so good to be making such progress. Chapter 8 is amazing and something I'm so proud of, but it did take soooo long, lol.

Next week, I will be leaning more into the editing of Chap 8 to get me back to being balanced on that, but I've pushed on faster than expected, so I'm hoping editing will go just as smoothly.

For Update+ this week, I was adding a few extra bits into Chapter 7 and realised A might have been talking with Tapeesa...

Tapeesa gives a few bobbed nods of her head. "I would be…be most curious, too, if they were to take an interest in me. Maybe you could tell me of them after your meeting?"

I smile. "It's a deal."

"I hear it's inadvisable to make deals with humans," she remarks with a frown.
