Well, we've just finished the Summer Scenario Specials, and here we are doing the poll for the autumnal ones!
But, after writing about summer so much, I am SERIOUSLY excited to write about autumn again! The cosiness, the vivid colours, the crisp weather...and of course the opportunities for romance, hehe! ;D
There will be two polls this month! First one to decide who the scenarios will be about, and the second to decide what they'll be about.
I figured we'd throw almost everyone into the mix this time round, lol! ;D

2024-09-13 23:45:56 +0000 UTCI switched my vote from N to F. While I like all the Wayhaven characters, I don't read romance scenarios outside of Unit Bravo. It would be upsetting to see only three members get a fall scenario.

If you really like the MC and want to do romantic shit with them all the time, then you have feelings. Don't be a fool! Own up already! LOL

With M, we may get physical and very *indirect* verbal affection, but it's usually mixed in with something negative--slam pig comment, being reminded that it means nothing, M getting confused and pulling away, or just being kind of nonchalant as a RO when they literally *try* to see the MC if the MC is their bff. What's there isn't stable or defined, which is intentional to make the MC feel insecure and uncertain, much like what A-mancers get. Sure, some players will make their MC "certain" of M because of the "good" parts, but it's not really supported by what the MC sees and is more of a 4th wall-breaking thing because we're given M's POV (something the MC is not privy to). So, really, M-mancers are in the same boat as A-mancers. In fact, the A-mancers have an advantage because, if MC let A get hurt in b2, you get a repeat of the "Tu omnia", and even if you don't get that, A isn't denying their feelings for the MC anymore (just resisting them). With M, we get them acting like someone in a relationship but still not *wanting* a relationship and refusing to consider there is something there other than lust, team loyalty, or indigestion (despite basically telling A they loved the MC, but that's been forgotten and dropped!).

My initial instinct is always to vote for A when it comes to these little bonus scenarios - I love all the other love interests dearly, but A's stubborn ass is determined to keep this slow burn as slow as humanly (vampirically?) possible. Like broken crockpot slow. With M at least you get the physical and verbal (like concrete and implied) affection in the game, but A is just... psychologically torturing themself and the detective/agent. These little scenarios are always a nice excuse to see them less distant outside of the game. I ended up voting for Li-Sar for this special, though, because I'm excited about the new villain and want to know more about them, but if they weren't an option I'd probably have chosen A, or maybe Tina or Alima (again, because I want to know more about them but don't get the chance in-game due to their lesser screen time).

In the game, both F and N can be in relationships with the MC--neither M nor A can be, and it doesn't look like it will happen anytime soon. M is written to be dumber than a sack of hammers and clueless about feelings for the sole purpose of dragging it out for another book or two, and A is written as resistant (and likely will be until the end of b4, at the very least), so a lot of us will jump at any chance we get to see M and A acting "relationshippy". It's just that simple, at least for me.
