In the opening scene after he shot her in the head the Song that started playing "Bang bang my baby shot me down is originally a Stevie Wonder song. The version in this movie was some woman, IDK and I guess more appropriate for the mood of the film but Stevie Wonder's version is much better to me

As perfect as the soundtrack to this, its amazing, the concept and the fighting. Uma, as I've said previous? No-one expected ever something like this from her. She shocked everyone at the time lol. You can see why! I can't wait for volume 2! Great Bruce Lee catch BJ and I think at some point do Bruce's Enter the dragon so Asia can watch the master in action! When the cop in the church arrives at the start and says ''Son number one?'' There was an old detective series called Charlie Chan in the 30s and 50's, iirc, that had so many son's he'd call them by numbers lol Son number one, son number two, and so on! That was a little homage to that :) It's hilarious when she whoops that guys butt and says ''Go home to your mother.'' that is just genius!

2023-01-20 05:49:44 +0000 UTCThis movie is an homage to the older traditional martial arts films, especially Chinese and Japanese. It has a variety of filming styles, most obviously color, black and which, and anime. I love that the Onna Bugeisha, female Samurai, were the underpinning of the film. BJ picked up that Easter egg of The Bride wearing the yellow suit, which was based on the same look Bruce Lee had in one of his films. Don't wait to long in between waiting this one and Vol 2. Vol 2 picks up right where this one left off and ties everything together.
