lol you know its a good movie if it brings your emotions into it. Its a good thing I have Dual monitors so I could sync them both together so when the screen got blurry I could still watch it on my other monitor

A male lion can weigh 500 pounds - they are big. They can run between 30-40 mph and see in the dark - cats do kill for fun, too. Even the cats we have as pets, if they get the chance. Some researchers put miniature cameras & GPS trackers on some house cats that were indoor/outdoor cats, and the cats spent all night killing birds, lizards, rodents, etc., and only ate a few - the rest they just killed and left where they killed them.
I love cats, but they are stone predators. It's a good thing we're so much bigger than our pet cats.

Very good movie with two of my favorite actors: Michael Douglas and Val Kilmer. The video below explains some of the real world history about the story in this movie.

Hey guys, if you enjoyed Michael Douglas, I recommend his film "Black Rain" from 1989. It's a dark crime thriller directed by Ridley Scott.

Hey, JL. Cool comment! Have you heard about the Beast of the Gervudan? It's very similar to the man-eaters of Tsavo case. The Beast appeared in France in the 1600's and was said to be responsible for many deaths. Another spooky thing about it is how the descriptions never agreed. Some people thought it had multiple heads, others thought it was a giant lion. There's no agreement on what it actually was, but the most likely case is it being a large wolf. Anyway, an adjacent story if this topic is your thing.

Blood Diamond is a masterpiece. Top 5 for me, alongside the likes of Gladiator and The Last Samurai.

Hey Aisha and BJ. I knew this movie would keep you both on the edge of your seats. The lions are being exhibited at The Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, Illinois. While the stories regarding the number of deaths vary from 100 to 135 people, there's no doubt the actions of these animals were abnormal by lion standards. There's also some question about how long the lions were killing from 9 months to several years. One last thing, the movie's screenplay leaned heavily on one book by John Patterson called The Man-Eaters Of Tsavo. Other articles suggested the lions were killed by more than 2 men.

I haven’t watched this movie yet but I’ve watched Survivor from the very beginning! I remember saying that round shelter doesn’t seem very safe against a 🦁 or anything else for that matter! Hope all is well Daisy!✌🏻☀️

You're on fire! I've never seen this before, wow it's a good movie. More intriguing it being a true story too. Absolutely loved it! Nature is a scary thing and there's some great quotes in it too!

You should check this documentary on youtube... Brothers in Blood: The Lions of Sabi Sand. Just posting it because BJ said he didn't know male lions ran together. This doc is about 5 cubs who grow to form the most dominant and vicious male lion coalition ever witnessed in Africa. The doc spans over 10 years. https://youtu.be/PqkRmTdKbOY

Also, as a long time watcher of Survivor, I've always wondered if any of the cast of the Survivor: Africa season saw this movie before going out there, specially when they heard a lion circling their camp. Not that I have what it takes to do any season of Survivor, but if that were me in that particular situation, I would have tapped out right then and there. lol

Goodness, y'all! Such a great reaction to this movie! Perhaps it is a bit morbid, but I'd like to see the display of the Tsavo Man-Eaters at that museum in Chicago. Maybe one day.... Thanks Asia & BJ!!
