Sorry but there's no way that there's a happy ending with Cameron and his dad. Ferris Bueller Part 2 is Cam's dad coming home, dragging him out of the house, changing the locks, and Cameron becomes homeless.

Here's a fun tidbit I been waiting to see if Asia clued in on yet. When y'all watched The Birdcage with Robin Williams and Nathan Lane she almost instantly pinned Lanes voice to Timons voice from The Lion King.
Robin Williams was also Genie in Aladdin and now out the 3 Matthew Broderick movies you have seen, now you'll know that Ferris Bueller voiced Simba.
Anyway out of context fun facts, have a great day!

We had Senior Cut Days close to graduation. We were all over 18 and signed ourselves out of school early, went to the next town over and had ice cream down by the River Walk.

I could always relate to this movie. Faking sick never worked for me, despite trying. I was so done my senior year. There was a good 2-week period I didn't go or went to only the classes I enjoyed. I hung out with one of my cousins during that time who was working in the film industry. Got to go on the set of a couple movies (TV movies, like ABC, nothing amazing), free lunch at craft services. Went to the beach and to a local park. I definitely got caught, disappointed my mom, and the school made me attend a weekly lunchtime group session with a psychologist the rest of the year, along with the troubled youth of the school. I would talk about how bored I was at school, and the other kids would talk about who they nearly killed or who nearly killed them the week prior. It did not help me at all. I had to work hard in my classes to make it up in the last few months of that year to graduate. More than one person back then told me I'm going to miss this time and one day I'm going to wish I was back in high school. I'm almost 50 and it hasn't happened yet. So yeah, I relate to Ferris Bueller a lot.

When I was in high school me and a friend decided to skip 1st period. We went to Burger King for breakfast and our dumb asses sat by a window. Our school principle drove through the drive thru and looked right at us. 10 mins later school security drove up on their bikes to walk us back to school. Luckily we only got a talking to since we were cool with the pricipal.

It's a good thing we didn't live close by growing up. My senior year I had 29 "half" days where my friends and I would skip out on certain classes together... we would drive out of town to have fun... make sure we weren't spotted by people that knew us.

Such a classic movie! I was in High school when this movie came out and I had the same white leather jacket with the fringe that Sloane wore. It was on trend in 1986.
Jennifer Grey starred with Charlie Sheen and Patrick Swayze a couple years before this in Red Dawn.

Loved watching this movie with you, one of my favorites that takes me back to my teenage years. Check out Matthew Broderick in "War Games" where he unwittingly hacks into a military supercomputer while searching for new video games....a good thriller. Also he stars in "Deck the Halls" with Danny DeVito, very funny Christmas time movie.

John Hughes movies are the best! Yes that was Charlie Sheen making a nice surprise cameo. John Hughes liked doing that. Like Kevin Bacon in the begining of Planes, trains and Automobiles. I was a junior in high school and remember seeing this in the movie theatre on the Army base in Hawaii. Everyone in the theatre laughed and had a blast. It was so fun seeing it again through new eyes with you both!

Same here! The last few years have flown by so fast!! And I know that's such a common phrase to say but it's so true. It's like I blinked and 5 years have come and gone. One of my favorite films is Into the Wild. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. I've seen some say it's pretentious but I think the message of wanting to be free and not being enslaved to the system is honestly what a lot of us want. But anyways yes we all need to slow down and stop and smell the flowers and feel the breeze and live in the moment while we can!! 😁😁

There is a long running fan theory that Ferris and Sloane are just a figments of Cameron's imagination and that, due to him being sick, he hallucinated the whole day.
Think about that the next time you watch it
