2025-04-22 12:55:23 +0000 UTCSorry to burst bubbles, but you two fun, fine folks missed the whole entire intent behind 'Bunny' Colvin's bag speech, which was to impart some wisdom upon his subordinates by way of a message contained within / a moral to the true story. However, do not fret nor worry (so to speak), for it all will most definitely make much more sense soon, at which point then you two intellectually intelligent individuals shall "sure-tainly" connect the dots, too! Well, actually, I believe BJ was following where the speech was headed, but then the (over)analytical side of Asia arrived to take things too literally, thereby veering the conversation in the wrong direction via her proverbial train of thought. Funny, too, considering how earlier on — much like those who were listening in on the wire — Asia did NOT take the words spoken by 'Cheese' in reference to his dog for what they really were: literal remarks, as opposed to figurative commentary. Anyway, all of this is to simply say that the speech was not meant to set up plot points about literal bags. Rather, 'Bunny' has conjured up an idea / is cooking up a new plan to implement for the Baltimore open-air drug market. I won't give anything away other than to say that "Hamsterdam" (Amsterdam) is on the way!

Wee thing to note; the dude Colvin went to speak to, the one who compared the drug war to "sweeping leaves on a windy day" ... he's a real life drug lord, the very dude they based Avon Barksdale on. He did a lot of heavy time before reforming inside. An amazing story.
