The voice broke through Lyselle’s stunned haze as she lay spread out in the grass, still processing what exactly she’d just done. She was so preoccupied with her own thoughts that she’d barely noticed the encroaching footsteps as someone had hurried over to her side.
It was not so easy to neglect Auna’s largely-nude figure bursting into her view.
“Lyselle!”
Lys shot upright with a gasp. “Holy shit!”
Auna stepped back, startled by the sudden outburst. “Okay, I don’t understand your weird Terran talk, but I know a swear when I hear one. You good?”
Just then, the pair heard the delirious laughter rising from behind them. Talia wobbled giddily against her cushions, eyes half-lidded and face even more pale than usual, yet nonetheless still clearly delighted with something.
“Oh good,” Auna grumbled. “Now they’re both going nuts on me.”
Talia’s swaying stopped with her head lazily flopping into her own shoulder, her grin wide and knowing. “Ly~ssieeee,” she sang out, slow and slurred. “I saaaw thaaaat~!”
“Y-You saw it!?” Lys scrambled up onto her knees, hardly even managing to steady herself on all fours. “So it happened!? That really happened!?”
Talia just answered with a sleepy, impish giggle.
“Okay,” Auna interrupted, “not to cut off my chance to not be confused as shit, but aren’t we trying to reduce the number of delirious women in our little forest coven?”

Finally had the itch to do some editing tonight so I jumped on it since I've been trying to find the will to get into that again for a few weeks now. I proceeded to blow through the whole chapter in one fell swoop! Nice!
