I know this is a very slowburn/long term project, but it is starting to take shape and I want you guys to have a taste of what your support here is allowing me to make! It'll turn spicy, sure, but first the gay cowboys need a gay town to have gay sex in, you know?
Camilo and Thomas here are very literally cowboys - just arrived in town after months on the road, bunking under the sky and counting cows. Camilo has been on a cattle run and in town once before, and he finds little interest and value in the vices it offers, but for Thomas this is his first visit in "big city" with pockets full of hard earned cash, so he'll more than likely let himself be lead from the collar by the first painted lady who so much as winks at him.
Now, how exactly will Camilo end up in bloomers and rawed silly by a mysterious bear? Stay tuned.
(Also I take very little credit for the background in the first pic: I'm aiming to finish this thing within this decade so I'm fullass just running around in Red Dead 2 and taking screenshots to smooch off of 😂)

For reaaaaalll aaahhh Eventually it'll be more simple, zoom ins and bedroom shots but the scene setting and some saloon scenes before that... oh boy, I'm going to lean on every crutch I can find! Drawing people? Yes good perfectly fine. Drawing a table in a room? Someone hold my hand while I sob! And YES ABSOLUTELY, this story has a very clear start and end, but I still think of it in small mini "arcs". So one section is already planned and written out, while a later one is kinda vaguely still up in the air until I get there. Makes it feels way less scary!

2022-04-26 13:32:10 +0000 UTCseeing you work on the backgrounds made me visibly cry, doing backgrounds and landscape/environment setup shots is a pain in the ass in comic making xD well at least for me it is haha I cry when I think i have to draw the bar from my boss's comic more than once in future xD BUTTTTT YAY YOUR LONG TERM PROJECT IS STARTING TO COME ALONG! I've heard doing small scripts for your chapters can be helpful in laying things out roughly dialogue and plot wise and then during comic phase its still possible to change it.
