Short Story: Cult of Phallosius

In the dimly lit, damp chamber, the air was thick with anticipation. The cultists, adorned in their robes, stood in a circle around the ancient tome, their eyes fixed on the intricate symbols etched into it's cover. They had spent years searching for the forbidden knowledge contained within, and finally, the time had come to unleash it's power.

With a deep breath, the Cult Leader began to recite the incantation, her voice dripping with conviction. The words, passed down through generations of cultists, held the key to unlocking the secrets of the underworld. The air seemed to vibrate with energy as the cultists joined in, their voices weaving together in a haunting melody.

The symbols on the tome began to shimmer, and a low, ominous hum filled the air. The cultists felt the ground beneath them tremble, as if the very foundations of the earth were being shaken.

Suddenly, a burst of energy erupted from the center of the circle, sending the cultists stumbling backward. A figure stood before them, it's presence both captivating and terrifying.

Phallosius has been summoned.
Will he grant their wishes of power?
Or does he need the payment upfront?
