I shake my head in disapproval every time I see Jon plunge that sword through Carl Tanner's skull... I'm no sword fighting expert, but I don't see how it's possible to stab someone from that angle. Just imagine holding a long, heavy sword above your head, with one hand, and then thrusting it at a downward angle with enough force to pierce a skull. As if! Even if that were possible, why choose such an awkward maneuver when he could just stab him in the back? To look cool on TV I suppose... Am I wrong? Anyone else bothered by that scene???

She was clearly using her love for her daughter to attempt to manipulate Oberyn, who will be one of the judges in Tyrion’s trial. She did it so well that it takes a minute to sink in, but she really had no other reason to approach Oberyn for a conversation.
