Crushing the beetles, crushing the head at the end, death and sufffering... it was all so very well done in this episode.

PaulaC

woaaaah didn't even think of that!

It’s funny you chose this episode to do that GRRM impression, as it’s a popular theory that Tyrion’s cousin crushing the beetles is a metaphor for how GRRM treats his characters 😄 (though I also see it as one for how the rich & powerful make decisions that lead to death & suffering for the smallfolk just because they can)

You’re in good company. Great reaction as always, Eric!

Ooooo nice!

Too sad T_T I just hope he doesn't have to lose his life to prove his loyalty.

Remember the small council meeting in episode 4x6 when they talk about Dany and how she has an army and two seasoned knights advising her? Tywin says she needs to be dealt with. Then he asks Varys if his little birds can find their way into Mireen, and tells Mace Tyrell to fetch him a quill and paper. I assume that's when he got the idea to send a copy of the royal pardon to Ser Barristan. I'm super excited for the next two episodes! They're so good!!!

Man, the scene between Dany and Jorah. That was so heartbreaking to watch. Believe me, I love Jorah, and any fan knows he of course did change and become loyal to her. He’d do anything for her. That being said....I completely understand Dany’s reaction and decision to exile him. It was an immense betrayal from the one person in the world she never imagined it from. On top of that, the information he fed to King Robert about her movements and pregnancy are what caused the attempt on her life, which led to Drogo wanting to cross the sea, him being injured when he fought his blood rider, the witch setting them up and both Drogo and her unborn child dying. I get it. There’s too much pain caused by his actions —- but of course as a fan, all you want it for them to hug it out lol. And I think you’re right - that if Jorah had admitted what he’d done, things could’ve been different. It’s tough. Very, very sad.
