Initially, I found Watchers on the Wall to be lackluster. I've come to appreciate it more but to this day it's probably my least favorite battle episode. I was sooo ready for 4x10 today because I forgot this episode even existed. But like I said, I've come to appreciate it. Mostly because there is a specific element in this episode that is built upon and improved immensely in some later episodes. BTW - Every penultimate and last episode (including 4x10) is worthy of a 2 parter from now on. :)

The valyrian times were actually way more advanced then the GoT world now. But not even that much, the valyrians existed for thousands of years, but no electricity, etc.
