haha Melisandre doesn't seem like the "winging it" type, but it actually makes a lot of sense since she hasn't seen it before xD

2019-03-01 16:20:47 +0000 UTCI think Melisandre was just winging it and trying whatever she could think of. She did say that she'd never seen it done before. Or maybe Thoros of Myr was winging it. Thoros said the words in the common tongue whereas Melisandre spoke Valyrian. Maybe because those are their native tongues? If it's really the Lord of Light who brings them back, does it even matter what ritual they perform?

2019-03-01 02:15:21 +0000 UTCSeriously, Davos is THE MAN. He boosted Stannis when he was feeling low. He totally shit talked the Iron Bank into supporting Stannis so they could get the gold. He gathered people loyal to Jon in that room and united them, even though they just met him a hot second ago. Davos is maybe the most important dude getting the least amount of credit right now.

Something you didn’t mention is that with Baelon’s death, all the people Stannis named with his leeches are gone. Did the leech thing work? Coincidence? I love that this show is so ambiguous about the existence of deities... People believe in them, and there’s clearly magic, but does that mean they are just interpreting magic as the actions of various deities?
