Game of Thrones 6x8 No One Early Reaction Part 1

I definitely appreciate all points of view regarding these two characters. They’re wonderfully interesting, as is their dynamic. To me...yes, we know Brienne loves Jaime. As for his feelings (and I’m sure I’m in the minority)....but I’ve always felt, and still feel that Jaime has a very confused set of sentiments toward her. There’s absolutely respect. No doubt about that. He of course cares for her as a person - that’s obvious. I do feel that there’s something more there as well though, but I don’t think we’ll ever see anything play out because....I just don’t think Jaime understands it. I think Jaime is devoted to Cersei. Bar none. His heart is with her (in my opinion, and it’s clearly not reciprocated). I actually get the impression that these feelings he has for Brienne..this combination of love and respect make him uncomfortable and uncertain. I don’t think he knows what to make of it, understandably so. It’s one of those things I feel...in a kind world (not Game of Thrones), it could develop. But no, this series won’t end with anything more between them; anything more than the absolute respect they have for one another. It’s tragic, in a way.

Keep in mind that Cersei asked Brienne whether she loved Jamie, not whether she was "in" love with him. I think Brienne does love Jamie and vice versa but that doesn't mean they're "in" love with each other... (romantically). But we'll see :-)

I don't think it was confirmed at the wedding in the slightest. If some crazy bitch came up to me and asked if I was in love with a guy she was in love with I wouldn't answer her either, no matter what I thought, I don't engage with crazy. But I do agree it's more likely that Brianne is in love with Jamie than vice versa. I think Jamie admires her in the way he admires Barrison Selmy or Arther Dayne.

Brienne is in love with Jamie (but not the opposite i strongly believe). It was kinda confirmed during a dialog between Cercei and Brienne during Joffrey's wedding.

I think I must be the only person to think that Jamie and Brianna are not in love. I find their relationship based more off of respect than love, but that's just me. I think those two falling in love is extremely unrealistic, but I understand why most people like that story. I hope / wish that they have more of a soldier's relationship than a romantic relationship.

Jaime &amp; Brienne ❤️❤️-there was an interview with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau that came out after this episode where he said that when Jaime said “keep it. It’s yours; it will always be yours” he believed Jaime was talking about his heart.
