The Belters have their own Creole language from all the different cultures mixing. Takes a while to get used to but it all makes sense eventually. Here are few terms you will hear: Wellwala: Lover of Wells (as in Gravity wells AKA planets :) ) Basically a Belter that kisses the backsides of Martians and Earthers. Inner: An inhabitant of Mars or Earth, the inner planets. Beltalowda: All of us Belters. Duster: Martian Squat: An insult for Inners, because they are shorter. Skinnie: Insult used by Inners towards Belters, because they are tall and lanky. Taker; A Martian insult about earthers, because most people on earth live off a welfare system known as 'The Basic' because there isn't enough work. OPA: Outer Planets Alliance, a loose political grouping of Belters fighting for more rights and independence. Loads of different factions. That's what I can think off of the top on my head.
