2021-12-04 19:48:00 +0000 UTCThe actors playing will and mike are really capturing well a lot of the experiences I have seen and had myself concerning best friend relationship between a queer friend and their straight best friend growing up and the changes that come with that. The actor who plays Will said he does not know if his character is gay but that it also doesn't matter and that what he represents to queer people regardless of his actual orientation is far more important. It can be hard I was queer growing up but my family was conservative Mormons and my brothers were neo-nazis and all my friends were straight and as we began to grow up our interests did diverge a lot at certain points and as it became clear to my friends that I was queer, I lost most of my best friends and it hurt so I am glad Mike is trying to be there for Will and not giving up on their friendship.
