Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood Father 20 Before the Grave Early Reaction!

Hmm! Good point. How does he know so much about it

Just to give a bit on Hohenheim, you can say what you will, but he hinted to Ed about the truth about Trisha. That means he knew more about human transmutation than anyone else. He was cold in bringing it around, but he helped give his sons closure. It's also a hint about Hohenheim; I'll let you think about that one.

Both of those things make a lot of sense :\ And yeah! Poor Al :(

Yikes! I'm guessing he could also simply find more metal to add to thicken the armor up again? Unless the rules are different because of the blood seal.

And I think the reason that Ed didn't ask about the Stone was because he was so pissed at Hohenheim, especially when Hohenheim started in on him. And I've always theorized that Ed was throwing up because of a combination of the physical pain from his stumps and the anxiety about what he was about to do - literally facing the worst sin that he's ever done. I feel so bad for Al - it's implied that he basically sits up all night and reads to distract himself from the fact that he's alone all night while Ed sleeps. In episode five, when Ed wakes up from the nightmare about Nina, you can see Al sitting in a corner with a book.

So, when Ed fixed Al's armor, what he basically did was thin out the armor to create the material needed to reattach Al's arm and to recreate the bottom of his helmet. The last time Ed repaired him (in episode 6), the military had gone around and picked up all the pieces of Al that were left after Scar took a chunk out of him. For some reason, Al didn't bother to pick up the pieces of his armor after Lust shredded him. Since you can't transmute from nothing, Ed thinned out the armor in the spots that needed repairing. So now those parts of Al's armor won't be as thick and strong as they were before.
