Update (A Real Shit Show)

Yo.

I know I know. It has been a while and I should’ve dropped a earlier, you complains are valid.

But the main problem is as follows.

You see after I was forced into taking a little break for personal reasons I was wondering how to use that time, cause I even had to take a leave from work so the free time was abundant.

At first I planned Regressed Master, but I couldn’t do much as I wanted to write more than plan which wasn’t easy at the time.

So, I turned to the next best thing that could help me pass the time, playing games once again. I know it isn’t the best idea, but it works and it had been a while since played.

That was when I saw that I can apparently play Tsukihime (The switch remake) without actually having to buy a switch. I jumped on that as I really enjoy the Nasuverse, installed Ryujin got the game from torrents, but I didn’t know that this would be the beginning of a month-long nightmare for me.

You see the prod keys file I had downloaded for Ryujin was loaded with something that could read files on my laptop, and google being as helpful as it provided passwords to my google account that the hacker used to access my account.

Now, as I was enjoying Tsukihime, the hacker got into patreon changed the payout email and took the money that was in the account. I have a habit of never checking the email so it wasn’t until the withdrawal was made that I saw the mess which was like the first week of september.

Although the money was gone, the bigger fear of losing the account, not only the one of Patreon but also the one on Royal road. All of my writing accounts were connected to that one gmail took, it was terrifying in all honesty.

So, I immediately went over to a computer professional that I knew and explained the situation. After the entire thing was formatted and cleaned I contacted Patreon through my email, the good thing was that the guy wasn’t able to change the password because of number verification I had turned on before.

That is how I locked the patreon account and worked to get the control back while looking for damages that had been caused. Thankfully aside from the payout in patreon and discord account, nothing else was touched. I got control over both now and increased the security over them to prevent any such attempt in the future.

Now talking with the patreon team I had reached proper understanding that no else is accessing my account aside from me and the security measures in place are enough too, since the data reading file has been deleted.

Overall, my plan to enjoy a game leisurely was foiled, by my own carelessness no less.

So, yeah, I am sorry for the wait and being unable to give you all an answer so far.

And now that I am back I’ll give you all an update on the writing side of things.

This post will be followed by four chapters of Regressed Master I finished in this week, understandably we are quite behind our schedule, about 2 months behind if I am being generous with myself.

So that is about 32 chapters, I’ll try to cover it by adding an extra one or two chapter to the weekly chapters that will come out on every Saturday.

I promise that I wont the schedule be broken this around, I am kind of angry that it had happened when I started writing a novel, since during my fic writing days I hadn’t broken my word on writing. But I suppose not everything lasts forever, there were quite some problems with me as well in these past few months.

But now things are looking up so I’ll try to get things done like before. I only hope the writing hadn’t worsened over the break, personally I think it got a little better but bias is a thing.

Also, I plan to write another novel, I got the idea while I was resting. I won’t start that project in full steam before I cover up for Regressed Master so don’t worry. However I will write atleast one or two chapters to see how it is looking, and I will post them on Patreon to get your opinions on it.

That novel along with the synopsis will come to the page by next week, or the week after that at least for convivence.
