Since more and more ppl around the globe love the show, I hope more ppl get to know the Ssangyong motors strike and its aftermath.

FYI, Gi-hun's background story about the strike is all based on true events, Ssangyong Motors Strike in 2009. Literal translation of the name 'Ssangyong'(雙龍) is 'Twin Dragons'. And we know that Gi-hun worked as a factory worker of 'Dragon Motors'. Director of the show didn't shy away to comment directly.
