I haven't watched BSG! Thanks for that context. That's actually makes that scene so much better!

Ughhh so jealous. I play memory games on Lumosity and am in the 99th percentile for memory stuff but there's still an insurmountable gap between where I am and where people with eidetic memories are.

oh and they get identic memory fairly accurate. That's basically what my brother in law has, and he can randomly point out factoids that surprise everyone, lmfao. Like "where did THAT come from?" but it's such an interesting gift!

Well, growing up in Buffalo it was hard to escape knowing football, in fact I knew it so well I would just listen on the radio (Bills games were often not broadcast at the time as they didn't always sell out!) and I could picture everything that was happening! I found this episode hilarious for that reason and give Leonard props for at least trying to understand what was going on and "fitting in" (which of course he didn't at all!). I don't know if you have ever watched BSG, but the humans call the Cylons toasters so I guess that was the big joke there. (I haven't watched the whole series yet but working on it with another reactor!)

It definitely is sad :(
haha I grew up not around football at all and wound up seeking it out on my own eventually.

Leonard's insecurities is one of the most relatable, and saddest, parts about his character. It comes up again, a lot. A large part is probably due to how he was raised :(. I also find it hilarious that Sheldon only knew football cause he grew up it Texas, lmfao. I can relate on being forced to hear things you don't want to hear, as football was always in the background-and I didn't care for it, as a kid, lol
