Everyone put in a gift that would go to someone random, but they ended up putting in what they themself thought was a good present (like Deku putting in an All Might keychain and, umm, Aoyama's portrait, etc.). Deku was super excited about the mochi because it's implied that Uraraka put in that gift (in the past, the show mentioned her liking mochi). I especially like that Eri got Tokoyami's gigantic sword because, in the last episode, Deku used knives as an analogy for something that could be good or bad depending on how it's used, to try and cheer her up when she felt down about her Quirk. P.S. The second MHA movie is set right after this arc, so have you gotten a chance to watch it yet? I'm excited to see your reaction when you get there :D
