I just want to say that I adore your love of Keyleth ^.^ she got so much hate from a certain portion of the audience, which was extremely unfair to her, so it's nice to see people appreciate her in the series. The Scanbo moment in the livestream was one of the most amazing moments in the whole of Critical Role. Scanlan pulled off some insane stuff, singlehandedly taking on everyone in the house, burning it down eventually, and it was just amazing. His line, "I'm gonna kill everyone in this motherfuckin' house" was lifted directly from the livestream. It's also very interesting seeing them adapt the iconic spells from the livestream game. Scanlan's hand is the spell Bigby's hand, which Scanlan used a lot. But in this episode we see the debut of lightning bolt, which Scanlan famously always cast from his dick. So yes, it was dick lightning.

The guard DM was indeed voiced by Matt Mercer, such a nice easter egg :) I think the potions are still from the dragon horde from the second episode, just like the scroll, hence why none of them knew what they would do. The scroll contained the spell polymorph. The damage sustained during polymorph only crosses over if it’s greater than the hit points of what you turned into. Meaning if the creature you turn into has 15 hit points and you get damaged 20 you turn back and sustain 5 points damage. So Scanlan probably turned back after the triceratops got damaged a bit too much but the spear wounds wouldn’t be visible. Such a fun and intense episode can’t wait to see you react to the next ones but also sad knowing it will be over so soon :(
