Scream (2022) Full Movie Reaction!

Thank you for posting! Great movie, great reaction!! Lots of thoughts, as Scream is honestly one of the only horror movie franchises I like. I'm a wuss. First and foremost, I could have gotten over Lemon Squares death, but then Dewey too?!?! Not fair! Once we got to the end and started thinking about it though, it fit. The whole ghostface situation had it's tole on him, and he was kind of done. Not saying that people can't bounce back from horrific situations, but he was just lost. I think the only time he even smiled this movie was when he saw Gale on tv. Not that there was a lot to smile about either though. With what mentality he was in though, it isn't hard to believe that he wasn't really on his game when he went back to finish Amber. And definitely not hard to understand why his character was done in the series. (Whether we go on from here or not) And his death is the only thing that could make a dent in Gale's hard exterior. Her performance broke me. By the way, David and Courteney may be divorced, but they are still pretty great friends. Their relationship (seems) is pretty much goals. Then again, we only see what they put out there, so who knows. I loved seeing characters come back. Randy's sister, though we only saw her in one scene, and even Billy Loomis. I could have done without the vision thing though. And even if we go with that, I wish they had ended with her getting help. Regardless of the fact that she is the "good guy", and maybe even BECAUSE she is the "good guy", seeing your dead psychopath dad is not normal. It makes me feel like they are setting her up to be the next killer, because her father is going to talk her into it. That will do nothing for the mental health community. It would have been so easy to just have it end with her getting help, not wanting to be tortured with visions of where she came from. As much as I loved the characters coming back, and I did love the new characters, I thought the fact that everyone was related to an original character was a bit much. Everyone is connected by this event, and everyone was just born into their friend group, whether they know the link or not. And 100%, tear down that house. Honestly, maybe tear down the town. Like Dewey, I think Woodsboro might just be done. lol
