Excuse me if I am just being old, as I am not sure if it's sarcasm you're using, or you really haven't heard of Archie comics... Where is that sarcasm sign when I need it?! Riverdale was based off of Archie comics, which have been around since the 1940's. Same basic characters, just much more adult drama, from what I gather. Never watched Riverdale, but grew up reading Archie in the 90s. As mocked in this episode, it seemed to be more of the "girl" comic books. I guess the franchise has mainly gone the Riverdale route though if the younger generation don't know about the comics. No big deal, just surprising when it was such a big part of my childhood.
