Absolutely! So many touchy subjects, that he just did not care what people thought. He knew kids needed to hear about it. Still haven't checked out the Tom Hanks movie. If anyone could pull of Fred Rogers, it would be him, but... I will see it at some point.

other good Mr. Rogers things to check out would be Tom Hanks movie where he plays Rogers in Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood and the documentary about Mr. Rogers that was released in the 216 and the Tom hanks on ein 2020, when we needed some more of Rogers kinds of kindness. He was so quietly influential, on doing things like divorce, death, assination of a president, having a afrian american person on the show as one of the main characters when there was segregation. He's one I always look up to, in terms of how you should treat people, in general.

You never got Mr. Rogers? That makes me so sad! It's honestly funny how sad that makes me. Mr Rogers taught us how the world should be, if we loved and cared about each other like we should. People equate it to Barney, or any of the other thousand kiddie shows, but it was more than that. You should search YouTube "Parents/Kids React To Mr. Rogers" Some of the parents tear up getting to watch it again. I admit I am very weird on this topic, but if you haven't been introduced to Mr. Rogers, you must at least watch a snippit like that one. lol
Not judging, or meaning it rudely… it’s always just a bit of a shock when something so ubiquitous to your childhood is missed out on for others. Nothing bad, just Mr Rogers is special, and I still often think about how I wish he was still around.
This Big Bang Theory has gone down an unexpected discussion road. 😂

I mentioned this earlier, but deleted it lol. PBS was one of the only stations we had. So both reading rainbow, and mr. rogers, was my childhood. I also loved the fact Levar played one of the first disabled people on tv. As his character, Gordi Laforge-was blind, and had to have a special device to use to help see so he could fly the ship. Many people wanted him to be the new Jeopardy host, but it actually went to Mayim Bailik-our Amy, instead!

LeVar Burton from Star Trek, or how I lovingly know him, LeVar Burton from Reading Rainbow!!! "I can be anything. Take a look, it's in a book, Reading Rainbow"
