(Feige is playing a much larger, longer term game than just Secret Wars.) Death means something very specific in the world of Marvel. It means that ownership of your soul passes to whichever Hell Lord (servants of Death who started out good but became corrupted) has dominion over you and your people. In fact, as counter-intuitive as it might seem, if the Hell Lord that owns a person's soul chooses to loan you your body back, you can even be walking around in the normal world in service of that Hell Lord while technically being "dead". :D
